From Amherst, MA

Go out Main Street, between City Hall and Amherst Chinese Food, past the Black Sheep for about 2 miles. You will see the Pelham Police and Fire House on the right and a trailer court on the left. Turn left just past the trailer court onto North Valley Road. Go 1 ½ miles and take first left onto Buffum Road, on small sign near ground in front of you. Go 2 miles and take the second right onto Baker Road – if you see Sand Hill Road on the left you have gone 20 car lengths too far. There is a telephone utility box very visible if the sign for Baker Road is missing. In a few blocks turn left at the fork. A half mile down on the left is a modern, plastic green mailbox with the number 61 and words “Redwood Zendo” on it. That is the house. You can park along the road, nose of car pointing in, if no places down by the house. If parking places full, park on only one side of road so cars can pass. If you need help, call 413-256-1331.

From Route 2

Get off at the Route 202 Exit to Amherst and go south toward Amherst. You will drive for 10-15 minutes or more. Watch for town signs that say “Entering Shutesbury.” There will be two of them. You will go in and out of Shutesbury. Keep going. When you see a magnificent view of the Quabbin Reservoir on the left, with a gray granite wall and places for cars to pull over, you are getting close to the turn. Turn right onto Shutesbury Road just before the former General Store. You will not have seen a business for many miles. It will be the first potential commercial building. If you get to it, you have passed the turn which is just before it. Go down Shutesbury Road for two miles. Soon after the new asphalt part of road, turn left onto Baker Road. The fifth house in on the right is 61 Baker Road, our house, and there is a “61” and words “Redwood Zendo” on a modern, plastic green mailbox. You can park along the road, nose of car pointing in, if no places down by the house. If parking places full, park on only one side of road so cars can pass. If you need help, call 413-256-1331.
